Members Meeting

Bonita Shores has never had a turnout like this before, About 100 residents gathered in front of the Bonita Shores Club on Wednesday evening to learn more about the future of the community. Members gave input on what they would like to see, they gave suggestions for raising money and they learned new ways to volunteer. The data will now be reviewed by the board and plans will be formulated and presented to the residents of Bonita Shores.

The meeting last night was informative but I would like to go on the record, the electronic survey was done without us knowing we needed our phones to go to the meeting so our voices were not part. I hope the Board doesn’t make any decisions based on that.
We where under the impression that the meeting was to get informed of the financial situation and bring ideas of how we can generate income for the club.
It seemed the main focus was what changes we wanted to see. Matt seemed to be bias as wanting to remove part or more of the building, remove part of the parking lot and install pickleball. That would kill the club by cutting in half the number of occupants that could be in the building for potlucks, dinners, etc.

How does anyone give data? Or whatever information you were wanting, if we weren’t able to come to the meeting. There are way more residents than were at the meeting. I’m sure I’m not the only one that would like to know what’s going on. I get up at 3 am sometimes so can’t always make night meetings. I also want you to know that I ran into a neighbor that didn’t know about anything going on. He never received any notice. He isn’t on social media. We have a large number of neighbors that aren’t on social media.
